Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on nursing standards.
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately while monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient vitals, progress notes, and medical records.
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
- Respond immediately to medical emergencies and provide critical care support as needed.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license in New York State.
- BSN preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) considered with relevant experience.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical experience in a hospital setting.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
