Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Monitor patient progress and vital signs, promptly reporting any changes or adverse reactions to physicians.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to strict medical protocols and safety guidelines.
- Educate patients and their families on post-discharge care, disease management, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other staff to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all patients.
Qualifications
- Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (or willingness to obtain within 3 months).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience in a Medical-Surgical or Acute Care setting.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
