Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to interventions, escalating concerns immediately.
- Provide patient and family education regarding disease management and discharge planning.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Respond to emergency situations with composure and adherence to safety standards.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a medical-surgical setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and move patients weighing up to 250 lbs.
