Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status through history, physical exams, and diagnostics.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Provide patient and family education regarding disease processes and care instructions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and shift handovers.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license in the State of New York.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Medical Surgical nursing.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Nuanced critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
