Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized, evidence-based care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols, ensuring strict adherence to safety standards.
- Monitor patient progress and response to interventions, promptly reporting any changes in condition to the charge nurse or physician.
- Educate patients and their families on post-discharge care, disease management, and preventive health measures.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and HIPAA guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to ensure seamless patient flow and optimal outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted with relevant experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications mandatory.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical-Surgical or Acute Care setting.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
