Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient conditions, symptoms, and vital signs to identify changes in health status.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians and according to hospital protocols.
- Develop, implement, and revise individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Document patient care activities, symptoms, and responses to treatment accurately and in a timely manner.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical situations, demonstrating sound clinical judgment.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless continuum of care for patients.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
- Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining composure.
