Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized, evidence-based care plans.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies in strict accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vitals and clinical status continuously; promptly report any significant changes to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, pharmacists, therapists, and other staff to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
