Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions continuously, identifying changes in medical status that require immediate intervention.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and physician orders.
- Utilize advanced monitoring equipment to track vital signs and critical indicators.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Document patient care activities, including assessments, interventions, and responses to therapy.
- Respond swiftly to medical emergencies and critical situations to ensure patient safety.
Qualifications
- Valid New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of critical care or ICU experience required.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to lift and transport patients as required.
