Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and provide direct bedside care to critically ill patients.
- Manage complex life-support equipment, including ventilators and hemodialysis machines.
- Administer advanced medications and maintain precise patient documentation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including intensivists, pharmacists, and respiratory therapists.
- Advocate for patient comfort and family education during high-stress care situations.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and code events.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience in an acute care setting.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certification preferred.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to function effectively under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Proficiency in EMR software (Epic experience is a plus).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.
