Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for critically ill patients in the ICU.
- Monitor patient vitals, ventilators, and infusion pumps, responding immediately to clinical changes.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the medical staff.
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to develop and execute complex care plans.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families during difficult times.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with hospital standards.
- Mentor junior nursing staff and participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU or high-acuity critical care setting.
- BSN degree preferred; ADN candidates with significant ICU experience will be considered.
- Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to patient advocacy.
