Responsibilities
- Provide high-acuity nursing care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced ICU environment.
- Monitor and interpret patient vital signs, hemodynamics, and cardiac rhythms with precision.
- Administer complex medication regimens and manage advanced life-support equipment including ventilators and CRRT.
- Collaborate seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team of physicians and specialists to optimize patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, recovery expectations, and emotional support resources.
- Maintain meticulous electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with hospital standards and HIPAA regulations.
- Act as a patient advocate, ensuring the highest standards of safety and ethical care.
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas or multi-state compact.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Intensive Care or Critical Care setting.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications via the American Heart Association.
- CCRN certification is highly preferred or must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records, specifically Epic or Cerner.
