Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized nursing care to critically ill patients using evidence-based protocols and advanced medical technology.
- Monitor, interpret, and document vital signs and physiological data with precision.
- Collaborate closely with intensivists and specialists to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Manage life-sustaining equipment including ventilators, CRRT, and hemodynamic monitoring systems.
- Provide compassionate emotional support and clinical education to patients and their families.
- Administer complex pharmacological interventions and monitor patient responses in real-time.
- Participate in unit-based councils to drive quality improvement and clinical safety initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
- Valid, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an ICU or high-acuity Critical Care setting.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; CCRN certification highly preferred.
- Proven ability to perform under pressure and manage complex patient loads effectively.
- Strong proficiency in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, preferably Epic or Cerner.
