Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in the ICU, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of safety and clinical excellence.
- Monitor and interpret vital signs and hemodynamics, adjusting treatment plans in real-time under physician supervision.
- Manage complex medical equipment including ventilators, arterial lines, and infusion pumps.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and execute comprehensive recovery plans.
- Educate patients and family members regarding critical care procedures and post-acute recovery.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) with strict attention to detail and compliance.
- Respond promptly and effectively to code blue scenarios and acute patient deterioration.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU or Critical Care setting.
- BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certification required (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
- Strong clinical judgment and the ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to advocate for patient needs.
- Proficiency in modern EHR systems (Epic experience preferred).
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
