Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and implement care for critically ill patients in the ICU.
- Monitor life support systems and adjust settings under physician guidance.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans.
- Administer advanced medications and monitor patient responses meticulously.
- Provide emotional support and clear communication to patients and their families.
- Maintain precise, real-time documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and bedside rounding.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a Critical Care or ICU setting.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (CCRN certification is highly desirable).
- Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to act quickly in emergencies.
- Proven ability to operate advanced medical equipment, including ventilators and IV pumps.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in high-stress environments.
