Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and implement acute nursing care for critically ill patients.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond rapidly to changes in clinical status.
- Administer medications and manage complex intravenous drips and infusion pumps.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including intensivists, pharmacists, and respiratory therapists.
- Document all patient care activities accurately within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families during high-stress situations.
- Operate and maintain specialized ICU equipment including ventilators and hemodynamic monitoring systems.
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an ICU or Critical Care setting.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
- CCRN certification is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to remain calm under high-pressure scenarios.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.
