Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for critically ill patients in the ICU.
- Monitor patient vital signs and interpret complex physiological data to adjust treatment plans.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and specialists to ensure holistic patient care.
- Administer medication and perform life-saving interventions with high clinical precision.
- Maintain accurate and detailed electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with hospital standards.
- Educate patients and family members regarding patient conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and team briefings.
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an ICU or Critical Care setting.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certification required.
- Proficiency in using advanced hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator equipment.
- Exceptional critical thinking skills and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to support patient advocacy.
