Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, neurological status, and hemodynamic parameters in real-time.
- Administer complex intravenous medications and manage mechanical ventilation support.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including intensivists and respiratory therapists, to develop individualized care plans.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and code blue situations with precision and calm.
- Maintain accurate, timely electronic health records (EHR) in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Provide emotional support and clear communication to patients and their families during critical transitions.
- Educate families on patient status, care procedures, and discharge planning.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU, CCU, or high-acuity setting.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certification (preferred).
- Exceptional critical thinking, communication, and time-management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively under extreme stress and pressure.
- Proficiency in using modern electronic medical record (EMR) systems (Epic experience highly preferred).
