Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for critically ill patients in a high-acuity ICU setting.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, adjusting care plans based on real-time data and physician orders.
- Operate and interpret complex medical equipment, including ventilators, cardiac monitors, and dialysis machines.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and specialists, to optimize patient outcomes.
- Advocate for patient comfort and safety while maintaining sterile environments and infection control protocols.
- Provide empathetic support and clear communication to patients and their families during high-stress situations.
- Document all nursing interventions and patient progress accurately within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited nursing program.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU or critical care environment.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certifications required.
- Demonstrated ability to function efficiently under pressure and prioritize critical tasks.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.
- Proficiency in modern EHR platforms and high-acuity monitoring systems.
