Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and document the status of critically ill patients in real-time.
- Manage ventilators, cardiac monitors, and other life-support equipment with precision.
- Administer complex intravenous medications and therapies according to established protocols.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide empathetic support and clear communication to families during high-stress medical situations.
- Ensure adherence to all safety, infection control, and clinical regulatory standards.
- Mentor junior nursing staff and participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute critical care or ICU experience.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certification strongly preferred.
- Exceptional critical thinking skills and the ability to thrive in high-pressure environments.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to patient-centered, compassionate care.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner.
