Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and provide direct patient care to critically ill patients.
- Interpret complex diagnostic tests and physiological monitors to adjust treatment plans.
- Administer advanced medications and manage life-support equipment under physician orders.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including intensivists, respiratory therapists, and surgeons.
- Maintain precise electronic health records (EHR) with strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines.
- Provide empathetic support and clear communication to patients and their families during high-stress situations.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives.
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU or high-acuity critical care setting.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (CCRN certification is highly preferred).
- Strong proficiency in ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring.
