Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and stabilize critically ill patients in the ICU.
- Administer complex medications and manage intravenous lines and ventilator equipment.
- Collaborate with physicians and respiratory therapists to adjust treatment plans.
- Document patient progress and interventions with meticulous attention to detail.
- Provide empathetic emotional support to patients and their families during high-stress situations.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and nursing research.
- Maintain current knowledge of advanced cardiac life support protocols.
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU or high-acuity setting.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certifications.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure in high-stakes environments.
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to thrive in a team-oriented setting.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, such as Epic or Cerner.
