Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor critically ill patients in the ICU, adjusting care plans in real-time.
- Administer complex medications, monitor intravenous lines, and manage ventilator support.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including surgeons, respiratory therapists, and physicians.
- Maintain precise medical records and documentation in our electronic health record system.
- Provide emotional support and clear communication to patients and their families during high-stress situations.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies, including cardiac and respiratory arrests.
- Ensure adherence to rigorous safety, infection control, and quality care protocols.
Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an ICU or Critical Care setting.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PCCN certifications required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to function effectively under extreme pressure.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for patient advocacy.
- Proficiency with modern hospital information systems and patient monitoring technology.
