Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill cardiac patients using advanced monitoring equipment
- Administer medications and treatments with precision while maintaining sterile protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in EMR systems
- Educate patients and families on post-ICU care procedures and discharge plans
- Respond swiftly to emergency situations and code blue activations
- Maintain infection control standards and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois RN license (or compact license)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum 2 years ICU/CCU experience with cardiac specialization
- ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
- Proficiency in Epic EMR systems
- Demonstrated critical thinking and rapid assessment skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Commitment to continuous learning and evidence-based practice
