Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patients' vital signs and medical conditions, responding immediately to any changes in status.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, medications, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner using Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Participate in code blue situations and emergency response protocols to ensure patient safety.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Critical Care, ICU, or Telemetry preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
