Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and changes in medical condition.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families regarding medical conditions and discharge instructions.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies, including code blue situations.
- Document all patient interactions and care provided accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain a sterile and safe environment in accordance with hospital protocols.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Critical Care or Progressive Care Unit.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
