Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status through comprehensive history taking and physical examinations.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor patient progress and respond immediately to changes in clinical status.
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment options, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Critical Care or Telemetry setting preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
- Demonstrated compassion and a commitment to patient-centered care.
