Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on clinical needs and physician orders.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with established protocols and hospital standards.
- Monitor vital signs and patient responses to treatments, escalating critical issues immediately to the medical team.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding diagnoses and treatment options.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a critical care or progressive care unit.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure in emergency situations.
- Proficient in electronic health record systems (Epic, Cerner, etc.).
