Responsibilities
- Deliver expert nursing care to oncology patients during chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and radiation treatments
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and assess treatment side effects with precision
- Educate patients and families on treatment protocols, symptom management, and home care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including oncologists, pharmacists, and social workers
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and ensure regulatory compliance
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Washington State RN license (or compact state eligibility)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred
- 2+ years of oncology/hematology experience in acute care setting
- Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Advanced proficiency in chemotherapy administration and infusion therapy
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide emotional support to patients
- Experience with electronic health records (EPIC preferred)
