Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with medical protocols and nursing standards.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to any changes in condition or emergencies.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and the wider healthcare team to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding diagnoses and treatment options.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research programs.
Qualifications
- Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
