Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict adherence to hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records, vital signs, and progress notes.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, procedures, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor patient conditions for changes and respond immediately to emergencies or critical situations.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and infection control standards at all times.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical-Surgical or similar clinical setting.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted with relevant experience.
- Certification in BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
