Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patients' vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition in a critical care setting.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate dosages and timing.
- Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Respond immediately to emergency situations and critical events, utilizing advanced life support techniques.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with hospital policies and legal requirements.
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding complex medical conditions.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or Critical Care setting.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
