Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced cardiac monitoring and intervention for post-op cardiac surgery patients
- Manage ventilator-dependent patients with ARDS protocols
- Administer vasopressors and critical care medications via central lines
- Perform rapid response team interventions for code blue situations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for complex patient care planning
- Maintain accurate electronic health records with real-time updates
- Mentor new nurses through our residency program
Qualifications
- BSN degree required (MSN preferred)
- NYS RN license with current ACLS certification
- Minimum 2 years ICU experience in cardiac telemetry
- Proficiency in Epic EMR system
- Critical Care Nursing Certification (CCRN) required
- Strong critical thinking skills for rapid assessment
- Experience with intra-aortic balloon pumps
- Excellent communication skills for family education
