Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess critically ill patients using advanced monitoring systems
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop care plans
- Document patient observations and interventions accurately
- Provide education to patients and families on post-discharge care
- Respond rapidly to emergency situations with ACLS protocols
- Maintain sterile techniques during invasive procedures
Qualifications
- Active RN license in New York State
- BSN degree or higher (ADN candidates with 2+ years ICU experience considered)
- ACLS/BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years critical care nursing experience
- Strong knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring
- Experience with ventilator management
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively in high-stress environments
