Responsibilities
- Provide critical care for post-cardiac surgery patients and complex cardiac conditions
- Administer advanced cardiac medications and interpret ECG rhythms
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on treatment plans
- Utilize advanced monitoring equipment including arterial lines and ventilators
- Implement evidence-based nursing interventions for acute cardiac events
- Document patient care using our EMR system with precision and timeliness
- Mentor junior nurses during high-acuity situations
Qualifications
- Active RN license in New York State
- BSN degree required (MSN preferred)
- 2+ years ICU experience with cardiac specialty focus
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
- Strong critical thinking skills during emergency situations
- Excellent communication for patient/family education
- Experience with Epic EMR system
