Responsibilities
- Provide advanced cardiac monitoring and critical care interventions for post-operative patients
- Administer precise medication protocols and emergency response procedures
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on complex patient care plans
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and compliance with JCAHO standards
- Mentor new nurses through our structured orientation program
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects
Qualifications
- BSN degree with current NY RN license (compact license accepted)
- Minimum 2 years ICU experience with cardiac specialization
- ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
- Proficiency in Epic EMR and hemodynamic monitoring systems
- Excellent communication skills with ability to de-escalate high-stress situations
- Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice
