Responsibilities
- Deliver expert nursing care to critically ill patients in 20-bed ICU unit
- Administer medications and monitor vital signs using advanced monitoring systems
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team on patient care plans
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EPIC system)
- Respond rapidly to emergency situations and code blues
- Educate patients and families on post-ICU recovery protocols
- Mentor new nursing staff through our residency program
Qualifications
- BSN degree (MSN preferred)
- NYS RN license with current CPR/BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years ICU or critical care experience
- ACLS and PALS certifications required
- Experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Commitment to continuous professional development
