Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care for critically ill cardiac patients requiring hemodynamic monitoring
- Administer medications and treatments per protocol, including vasoactive drips and ventilator management
- Collaborate with cardiologists, intensivists, and respiratory therapists in rapid-response situations
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in Epic EMR system
- Mentor new nurses and participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives
- Respond to emergency codes with advanced cardiac life support protocols
Qualifications
- Active NY State RN license with BSN required (MSN preferred)
- Minimum 2 years ICU experience with cardiac specialization
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications mandatory
- Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
- Demonstrated experience with Epic EMR documentation system
- Exceptional critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights and weekends
