Our 24/7 ICU unit specializes in post-cardiac surgery recovery with a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio. Responsibilities
- Provide specialized critical care for post-cardiac surgery patients
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and interpret EKG data
- Coordinate interdisciplinary care plans with physicians and specialists
- Implement evidence-based protocols for ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
- Participate in rapid response team activations and code blue procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR system
- Mentor new nurses and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Washington state
- BSN degree or higher (MSN preferred)
- Minimum 2 years ICU experience with cardiac focus
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
- Proficiency in Epic EMR documentation system
- Demonstrated critical thinking and crisis management skills
