Responsibilities
- Deliver critical care to patients in 20-bed ICU unit with 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Administer advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) protocols and ventilator management
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team for comprehensive care planning
- Utilize Epic EMR for accurate documentation and real-time monitoring
- Mentor new nurses and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Respond rapidly to rapid response team activations
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control standards
Qualifications
- BSN degree required, MSN preferred
- Current IL RN license with BLS/ACLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years ICU experience in Level I trauma center
- Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and arterial line management
- Demonstrated critical thinking in emergency situations
- Experience with continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT)
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in high-stress environments
