Responsibilities
- Provide advanced nursing care for critically ill patients requiring ventilator support, hemodynamic monitoring, and complex medication administration
- Perform rapid patient assessments using SBAR protocol to detect subtle changes in clinical status
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement evidence-based care plans
- Operate advanced medical equipment including ECMO, IABP, and continuous renal replacement therapy
- Lead emergency response codes and rapid response team activations
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR system for compliance and continuity of care
- Mentor junior nursing staff through our professional development program
Qualifications
- Active NYS RN license with minimum 3 years ICU experience
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher preferred
- Experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
- Demonstrated proficiency in emergency response procedures
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Exceptional communication skills for multidisciplinary collaboration
