Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and implement evidence-based interventions for acute and critically ill patients in emergency settings
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized treatment plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and emergency procedures with precision and compassion
- Maintain accurate electronic health records while adhering to HIPAA compliance standards
- Educate patients and families on discharge plans, preventive care, and health management
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency preparedness drills
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to departmental best practices
Qualifications
- Current Illinois RN license with BSN degree (MSN preferred)
- Minimum 3 years emergency/critical care nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficiency in Epic EHR system and point-of-care technology
- Demonstrated expertise in trauma assessment and rapid response protocols
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to de-escalate high-stress situations
