Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and implement evidence-based interventions for acute and critically ill patients
- Administer medications, treatments, and emergency procedures with precision
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and care coordinators for seamless patient transitions
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and ensure regulatory compliance
- Mentor junior staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Respond effectively to mass casualty incidents and trauma activations
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Illinois (IL RN) and BLS/ACLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years ED experience in Level 1 Trauma setting
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; ADN with enrollment required
- Proficiency in Epic EHR and emergency medical equipment
- Strong critical thinking and crisis management abilities
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
