Responsibilities
- Assess and stabilize emergency patients using rapid triage protocols
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Document patient care in Epic EMR with 100% accuracy
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams during trauma activations
- Provide patient and family education on discharge planning
- Maintain infection control standards in high-acuity settings
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active IL RN license (required)
- BSN degree (ADN candidates with 5+ years ED experience considered)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Minimum 2 years emergency nursing experience
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred
