Responsibilities
- Provide rapid assessment and critical care for trauma patients using ATLS protocols
- Administer medications and treatments with precision in high-pressure situations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, specialists, and paramedics
- Maintain accurate electronic health records while ensuring HIPAA compliance
- Lead patient stabilization during codes and emergency resuscitations
- Train and mentor new nursing staff through our robust onboarding program
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Valid NY RN license with minimum 2 years ED experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Expertise in triage, ECG interpretation, and IV therapy
- Strong knowledge of emergency pharmacology and trauma protocols
- Exceptional communication skills for high-stress interactions
- Experience with Epic EHR system preferred
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing clinical scenarios
