Our state-of-the-art ED handles 85,000 annual visits across 42 beds, serving diverse populations in the heart of Manhattan. We prioritize work-life balance with 12-hour shifts and robust wellness programs.
Responsibilities
- Delage evidence-based nursing care across diverse patient populations in a Level 1 Trauma Center
- Perform rapid assessments and interventions for critical conditions including cardiac arrest, stroke, and trauma
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams using Epic EHR for seamless documentation
- Mentor nursing students and new staff through our robust onboarding program
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives targeting ED throughput metrics
- Adhere to NY State BON regulations and JCAHO standards
Qualifications
- Active NYS RN license with minimum 2 years ED experience
- BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency in rapid assessment protocols
- Experience with trauma activation and disaster response protocols
- Strong communication skills in multilingual environments
- Ability to maintain composure under high-pressure conditions
