Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized, evidence-based care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with hospital protocols and nursing standards.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond immediately to any changes in condition or deterioration.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the broader interdisciplinary team.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and interventions in electronic health records.
- Provide patient and family education to ensure understanding of discharge instructions and post-acute care.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and infection control policies to ensure a secure environment.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
- Minimum of 2 years of critical care or acute care nursing experience (BSN preferred).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
