Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage critically ill patients with advanced cardiac conditions
- Administer complex medications and perform specialized procedures
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on patient care plans
- Document electronic health records with precision and timeliness
- Provide education to patients and families on cardiac health management
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols
- Participate in rapid response team activations
Qualifications
- BSN degree (MSN preferred)
- Valid Illinois RN license (compact license accepted)
- Minimum 2 years ICU/CCU experience
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
- Strong critical thinking and prioritization skills
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
