Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced nursing care to critically ill patients across diverse medical conditions
- Monitor and interpret complex hemodynamic data, ventilator settings, and lab results
- Administer precise medications and interventions including vasopressors, sedation protocols, and advanced life support
- Collaborate with intensivists, specialists, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Document clinical outcomes using Epic EMR with meticulous attention to detail
- Mentor junior staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Respond rapidly to emergent situations with calm expertise
Qualifications
- BSN degree (MSN preferred) with current Minnesota RN license
- Minimum 2 years ICU experience with ACLS/BLS certifications
- Expertise in hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and critical care pharmacology
- Strong assessment skills for rapid deterioration recognition
- Exceptional communication abilities during high-pressure situations
- Commitment to Mayo's patient-centered care model
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends
