Responsibilities
- Provide specialized cardiac care including ECG monitoring, medication administration, and patient assessments
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized care plans
- Utilize advanced cardiac monitoring technologies and interpret diagnostic data
- Educate patients and families on cardiac health management and lifestyle modifications
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and ensure regulatory compliance
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and research protocols
Qualifications
- Current RN license in Illinois (required)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum 2 years of acute care cardiology experience
- ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications
- Strong knowledge of cardiac pathophysiology and treatment protocols
- Exceptional critical thinking and emergency response capabilities
- Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration
