Responsibilities
- Provide specialized care for patients with cardiovascular conditions including post-op recovery and acute interventions
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precision and documentation accuracy
- Monitor and interpret EKG rhythms, hemodynamic parameters, and cardiac telemetry data
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on cardiac health, medications, and lifestyle modifications
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and hospital safety protocols
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and process enhancement
Qualifications
- Valid New York State RN license (required)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; ADN with 2+ years experience considered
- ACLS and BLS certifications (maintained current)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in acute care cardiology setting
- Expertise in cardiac monitoring equipment and emergency response protocols
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities in high-pressure situations
- Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated patient-centered care philosophy
- Electronic health record proficiency (EPIC experience preferred)
